Cub Pack 1031: Scouts Helping Keep our Park Clean

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Pack 1031 scouts after their hard work picking up trash at Little Paint Branch Trail.

This month Cub Pack 1031 is starting our new year with a cleanup at the Little Paint Branch Park! We collected eight bags of trash and an old trash can! Six youth, five leaders and two parents participated. It was good to be outside and cleaning up the environment!

For the coming year, our families will be working on achievements at home along with monthly meetings in the outdoors, and we will keep it fun! We now have no access to Beltsville Academy, so we are out in the parks and on the trail.

We are now accepting new scouts and welcome them to the pack. Especially Kindergarteners, 1st graders and 4th and 5th graders. If you are interested in discovering the fun of Cub Scouts, please contact Regina Halper at Pack1031cubscouting@gmail.com for more information. A flyer was posted on Nextdoor and the Beltsville News Facebook page with info. There are also several yard signs with a QR code with the flyer around town.
