Airplanes of the World 2017

Free State Aeromodelers invites you to come to their 13th annual celebration of scale RC airplanes as the sky comes alive above Konterra Model Air Park in Laurel (6050 Van Dusen Road, Laurel, MD 20707), on Saturday June 24th 2017 for Free State Aeromodelers 13th Annual Airplanes of the World fly-in and air show.

If you are a builder, a pilot, or just a lover of scale model airplanes, join them for their annual fly-in. Witness all manner of scale model aircraft as they take to the skies – From the graceful flights of WWI era biplanes to the thunderous roar of modern turbine jets, it’s all here and open to the public. Bring the family and invite your friends to come along as well.

Airplanes of the World is not a scale contest, rather a fly-in whose goal is a fun, social event with liberal amounts of flying and connecting with fellow aviation enthusiasts. An event where old friends gather and new friendships are made – a scale/ standoff scale model fun-fly and air show. Any scale or stand off scale model aircraft is welcome, rotary or fixed wing.

Ample parking is free and Free State will have a concession stand available and filled with food and beverages from 10AM through 2PM Saturday.

Registration begins at 7:30 am Saturday morning (June 24). $10 fee for pilots, and there is no charge for spectators. A current 2017 valid AMA membership is required to fly.
