The Bowie-Vansville Association (BVA) Annual Crab Feast

The Bowie-Vansville Association (BVA) annual Crab Feast will be held Saturday, July 8, from 2–5 pm at the Magnificent Obsession Farm on Beaver Dam Road in the Beltsville Agriculture Research Center. Tickets are $35.00 each with children under 12 free. This includes crabs, hot dogs, hamburgers, all sorts of homemade sides, salads, desserts, and drinks. (Bring your own adult beverages.) There is a large playground for the kids as well as games, horseshoes, 50-50, and door prizes.

The original BVA grounds were located on what is now the City of Greenbelt but were moved to what is now Soil Conservation Service Road in the early 1930's. The organization was formed “for the good of the community” to promote the welfare and living conditions of the area farmers and still exists today even though there are no longer any local farmers! Call 301.442.9992 to learn more and to purchase tickets.
