Thank you, Principal Robin Wiltison!

Delegates Barbara Frush, Joseline Peña-Melnyk, Ben Barnes, and I are grateful for Robin Wiltison's exceptional leadership and strong commitment to academic excellence at Martin Luther King (MLK), Jr., Middle School, which spanned 35 years. We’ll miss her, and we offer our best wishes for a wonderful retirement.

MLK Middle School's new principal, Rotunda Floyd-Cooper

Rotunda Floyd-Cooper was hired as MLK Middle School's new principal earlier this summer. She began her career over 20 years ago as a high school math teacher with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools. She has since worked as a middle school assistant principal and as executive director of curriculum in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She also served as the executive director of the Maryland Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) program, a statewide STEM initiative. And she joined Prince George's County Public Schools in 2014 as a systemic improvement specialist. She is married with one son, and we greatly look forward to working with her.
