Maryland Retains Triple AAA Bond Rating
Last month, all three credit-rating agencies reaffirmed Maryland's AAA bond rating. We're one of only thirteen states to earn that recognition. Why? In the words of Moody’s Investors Service: “The highest-quality rating reflects Maryland’s strong financial management policies…above-average debt and pension burdens…proactive fiscal management…taken often difficult actions to strengthen the foundation for long term fiscal sustainability.” To read Maryland Treasurer Nancy Kopp's report on our state's economy and finances, visit www.treasurer.state.md.us.
