Beltsville’s own Boy Scout Troop 1033 is continuing a proud local tradition with its 39th Annual Spring Lawn and Garden Products Fundraiser, offering residents an easy way to prepare their yards for spring while supporting the Scouts who live and serve in their community.

Orders are now being accepted through Saturday, March 14, 2026, with delivery scheduled for Saturday, March 28, 2026. The fundraiser features a variety of popular lawn and garden products, including hardwood mulch, cedar mulch, pine bark, compost, and soil blends—just in time for spring planting and landscaping.

What makes this fundraiser especially convenient is the Scouts’ door-to-door delivery service. Troop members and volunteers will deliver orders directly to homes throughout Beltsville and Calverton, placing materials wherever customers request. Residents outside the delivery area can pick up their orders at Emanuel United Methodist Church on Cedar Lane on delivery day.

Funds raised support the local troop’s programs and activities through the Boy Scouts of America, including summer camp and year-round outdoor adventures such as camping, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and climbing. Troop leaders note that summer camp is often one of the most meaningful and memorable experiences in a Scout’s journey, helping build confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong friendships.

In addition to supporting local youth, residents receive quality products at competitive prices. Approximately 33 percent of each purchase qualifies as a tax-deductible contribution, with the deductible amount noted on the customer’s receipt.

The fundraiser is organized entirely by volunteers and Scouts, reflecting Beltsville’s strong spirit of community support and service.

Orders must be received by March 14 to ensure delivery on March 28.

By participating, Beltsville residents not only prepare their lawns for the season but also invest in the development and future of local Scouts—helping continue a tradition that has benefited the community for nearly four decades.
