Beltsville Briefs November 2021

The ladies of the Women’s Club of Beltsville planted daffodil bulbs in the Beltsville West Park in October.

The Women’s Community Club of Beltsville did double duty in October. We did our usual cleanup of Montgomery road as a part of the Adopt-A-Road program and we planted daffodil bulbs in the Beltsville West Park. We are now getting ready for our annual Holiday Program. Women who are interested in participating should contact WCCB at womensclubbeltsville@gmail.com.




The Beltsville Young at Heart Club

The Beltsville Young at Heart senior group will meet on November 18 and December 16 at the Beltsville Community Center, 3900 Sellman Road. We meet from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Masks are required. You may bring your own drink and snacks. You must be 55 years old and can join after 3 meetings. You do not have to live in Beltsville to “check us out.”

We’ll have entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, and items in Clyde’s Closet to buy. We’ll also take suggestions for trips to take in 2022. Come and meet our new officers. We look forward to seeing our elder members and anyone new who would like to join us. If you have questions, call 301-498-9736.



Kolachi Carry-Out Event at St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church

On Nov 6. from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church will be holding a bake sale. Kolachi Carry-Out Event. Delicious kolachi, a traditional East European holiday sweet bread. Choice of Walnut, Poppyseed, or Apricot fillings. Ready for in-person sales or by pre-order for quick, easy pickup.
