Our first fall meeting was Sept. 21 and I hope it was well attended by members and new to-be members. I know that 5 were missing (4 on trips and 1 in the hospital). But we hope the October 19 meeting at 10:30 am. Will be a great get-together.
I have a problem “getting the word out” about our group. We have this article each month and I put fliers at the Beltsville Library and Community Center on Sellman Road. I also put fliers at the Panera Breads in the Beltsville and Laurel area. But few other places have a community bulletin board anymore, to “advertise” our group. The Laurel library and Commu
nity Center will not let me leave fliers and we do not have a Laurel weekly/monthly newspaper anymore. Please let me know of any place I can display our fliers so people will see them. You do NOT have to be a resident of Beltsville to join us- just be at least 55 years old. Call me at 301-498-9736 if you need more information.
Next meeting—Thursday, October 19, 10:30 am at Beltsville Community Center, 3900 Sellman Road with entertainment, refreshments, trips, 50/50 and a friendly atmosphere.
