The Women’s Community Club of Beltsville begins its 99th year with a meeting September 9 at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the Boys and Girls Club building at 11705 Roby Avenue. Park at the Seven-11. Masks will be worn and there is plenty of space for social distancing. You can also join the meeting virtually by calling 1-202-602-1295, access code 700-282-965#.
We will be planning the celebration of our 100th anniversary as the Club was established October 9, 1922. The Women’s Club formed after they were told they were not allowed to join the Citizen’s Association because only men were allowed. It is one of the oldest charitable nonprofit organizations in Beltsville. We remain a group of feisty women.
