Our May meeting had a speaker on “How to fool the scammers.” It was a very interesting subject.

The Beltsville Community Center is having problems with some plumbing, so the bathrooms are being remodeled. They have “jiffy-johns” set up to take care of any needs for the next couple of months.

Our June meeting, Thursday, June 18, will be a “Bingo for prizes” event. Members who wish to play need to bring a wrapped prize (value of $5-$15), so that the winners will have an incentive to stay and play. The business part of the meeting will start at 10:30 a.m. as usual.

We have two-day trips and one five-day/four-night trip to interest you. In September we go on the Dorothy-Megan paddleboat for a crab feast. In November, we’ll go to Lancaster, PA to see Winter Wonderland at the American Music Theater. It includes a buffet lunch before the show. But, in September, we go on a five-day/four-night trip to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Zion Union Heritage Museum, among other stops. We leave for all trips from the Beltsville Community Center, 3900 Sellman Road.

Come and visit us and see what else we do. We are a small group, but very friendly. You only have to be 55 years old. You do NOT have to live in Beltsville to join us. For more information, come to the meeting, or call Lois at 301-498-9736.
