Maryland Senator Art Dorman Commended for 30 Years of Service

At its annual meeting, on November 10-11 (2000) the Legislative Advisory Council of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) commended Maryland state Senator Art Dorman for 30 years of service on the council.

 “Senator Dorman has 35 years of exemplary service in the Maryland House of Delegates and Senate. His legislative and education expertise has benefited members of the Legislative Advisory Council since 1970, and everyone associated with the Southern Regional Education Board owes him a debt of gratitude,” said SREB President Mark Musick.

Dorman first was elected to the House of Delegates in 1965. He was elected to the Maryland Senate 10 years later.
