We are moving into the new year with enthusiasm! All the scouts in the pack have been working to finish their Duty to God achievements and service in the community.
On January 18, 9 scouts, 8 parents, and 2 BSA scouts collected over 12 bags of trash and did 28 hours of service along the Little Paint Branch Trail. It was at the suggestion of a Lion Scout, Mateo R, who pointed out that there was a lot of trash along the creek. If you regularly walk outside along the path or in your neighborhood, please bring a bag and pick up the trash you see. Even if you just clean in front of your house it will help make Beltsville cleaner.
For the coming year, our families will be working on achievements on Zoom with our den along with monthly meetings in the outdoors, and we keep it fun! We are out in the parks and on the trail when we can, wearing our masks, cleaning our hands, and staying 6 feet apart.
