Cub Pack 1031 Flying Kites!

Updated: Aug 30, 2023

Scouts and parents fly their homemade kites

Finally, when we had a weekend where it wasn’t raining, Pack 1031 was able to get outside and fly kites we had made by reusing plastic paint drop covering. The Wolf den needed to help make a kite as part of their Air of the Wolf adventure and other scouts joined in. They came out wonderfully and they flew!

All the scouts are well on their way to completing their ranks and the Lions and Wolf dens have almost finished their ranks. Great job scouts!!

On April 24th, the pack led the Anacostia Watershed Earth Day on April 24th to clean the trail by Little Paint Branch. We collected trash, bottles, and cans and any pandemic trash found (masks, gloves, and tissues).

For the current time, our families will be working on achievements on Zoom with our den along with monthly meetings in the outdoors, and we keep it fun! We are out in the parks and on the trail when we can, wearing our masks, cleaning our hands, and staying 6 feet apart. We hope we can be back inside in the fall.
