Dear Editor,

Thank you for your work in keeping Beltsville residents informed of the local news, advertisements, services available in our community and other related official decisions that affect all of us. It is free of charge and I do hope the advertisements keep the expenses sustainable. I was aware of a recent article by Deberah Baggett about the proposed addition of a crematorium to the Borgwardt Funeral Home at 4400 Powder Mill Road. I am thankful for her personal effort to make us all aware of this project by Borgwardt’s and its ill effects on the community. Thank you for publishing all related articles.

And Dear Ms. Deborah Baggett,

Also thank you for your article in the April issue of the Beltsville News on the ill effects on health, safety and not to mention the property value of homes in Beltsville due to the proposed addition of a crematorium to the Borgwardt Funeral Home on Powder Mill Road. We are either too busy to read the local newspaper or unaware of the ill effects on our health for generations of children in the area, the traffic and all other related issues of such facilities. Usually these facilities are away from the local community, but with a diligent effort business can achieve their goal easily. However, if our local representatives allow this to go on with a fast speed on such a project without enough time for more of local approval, it shows their own negligence to community opinion and more adherence to business or personal interest. I thank you for taking time to write, represents us all in this important issue and appreciate your goodwill sincerely. A few of my own neighbors are now aware of this problem and they may call or write to the delegates on this issue. I hope so! May your good work be blessed with success and may you and your family be blessed always.

Sincerely, Pranoti Mohanty
