Edna Louise Morgan, 84, of Beltsville, MD, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, August 27, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 9, 1938 in St. Mary’s County, she was the daughter of the late Louis Tippett and Mary Hayden Tippett. Edna was the most precious & loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly.
She was a homemaker and provided lots of tender loving care to her grandchildren as she provided day care for them for many of their early years.
Edna is survived by her loving husband Joseph A. Morgan, who was the love of her life and who she married on December 7, 1961. Also surviving her are two children, Joseph E. (Linda) Morgan and Janet Salvetti; 7 grandchildren: Justin Morgan Reeves, Joseph R. (Jamie) Morgan, Steven Salvetti, Jeffrey (Julie) Morgan, Ashley Salvetti, Dale Salvetti, Shelly Salvetti, and 5 (with one more on the way!) great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her youngest son, Wayne Morgan and her son-in-law, Mark Salvetti.
Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, September 2, 2023, with a prayer service at noon at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD 20705. Interment was held on Tuesday, September 5, at Maryland National Memorial Park, Laurel, MD.
