Prince George's County Police Explorer Post 600 to Participate in Leadership Program By Ted Ladd

Members of the Police Explorer post helping to pick up trash and make the neighborhood a cleaner place.

In July the Explorers will participate in a leadership program in Haymarket, VA. The Beltsville Lions Club and the Beltsville Citizen’s Association hope you will consider supporting these young men and women by contributing to Explorer Post 600. The estimated cost is $350 per person, and the Lions have contributed that amount. The Explorer Post is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations may be sent to Cpl. Kenneth Hibbert c/o Prince George's County Police Department 4321 Sellman Road, Beltsville, Maryland 20705.

The Explorers spent part of their spring break picking up trash. On one short street they filled at least 10 bags. During their Christmas in April event, they helped spruce up the home of a Senior Citizen by painting the outside of the house and fence. Over the past few years, they have helped the Women's Community Club of Beltsville with various projects including planting spring flowering plants around Beltsville. And they have participated in Earth Day Cleanup projects.

Please join the Beltsville Lions and the Beltsville Citizen’s Association in helping members of the Prince George’s County Police Explorer Post 600 attend this leadership program.
