When a snow emergency is declared, the Prince George’s County Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) is responsible for providing “passable” conditions on County roads.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
The Prince George's County Ombudsman Program's purpose is to ensure that residents of long-term care facilities receive the care they deserve. Anyone can contact the Ombudsman, residents, staff, family or friends of residents, public agencies, community groups, or individuals interested in the quality of care in long-term care facilities. There is no charge. If you would like more information, you can contact the Ombudsman Coordinator, Kelly Snipes, at 301-265-8455. If you would like to volunteer with the program, also contact Ms. Snipes.

Beltsville Seventh-Day Adventist Community Center
Beltsville Adventist Community Center (BACC) distributes food on the fourth Friday of each month, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (while supplies last).
The distribution is in the parking lot of Beltsville Seventh Day Adventist Church, 4200 Ammendale Road in Beltsville.

Kingdom Fellowship AME Church
The Kingdom Fellowship Church, in partnership with Councilman Dernoga’s office, distributes boxes of fresh produce, protein, and dairy products each Saturday. Boxes will be available for pick up on a first-come, first-served basis.

Senior Call Check Available to Maryland Residents
Are you home alone? Would you like someone to check in with you daily? If you are 65+, the Maryland Department of Aging offers you a free service for an automated daily phone call at a scheduled time. If you do not pick up after three attempts, the service will call an alternate person on your behalf to check on you. You must have an active landline or cell phone to participate in the program. MDGOVAX Call Center Services are transitioning to 2-1-1 Maryland. Marylanders can still receive information and referrals regarding COVID-19 resources by calling 2-1-1 or texting your zip code to 898 211.

Are you struggling to keep up with your mortgage payments or other housing costs due to COVID-19 related financial hardships? The Maryland Homeowner Assistance Fund may be able to help.
