Beltsville Briefs August 2022

Updated: Sep 1, 2022

The Beltsville Young at Heart Club

By Lois Hamilton

After not meeting in July and August, I sure miss seeing & being with our members. We’re back on September 15 at 11:00 am and have a lot to discuss for the upcoming end of the year. You can still sign up for our 2 trips. The crab feast money is due by August 18 for the Sept. 29 trip. The November holiday show still has openings, so if interested, please call Shirley Denell at 301-937-5342.

In September, we must vote on some changes needed in our By-Laws. We’ll discuss our anniversary potluck for October 20, and have people sign up for an entree, side, or dessert, or whatever they hope to bring to the potluck. September and October will BOTH be at the Beltsville Community Center at 3900 Sellman Road.

Our November 17 meeting will be a Thanksgiving Gala in Laurel at the First United Methodist Church on Main Street. It will be catered (no turkey), have entertainment, a raffle, 50/50, and just a lot of fun and thankfulness. More later the details.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 301-498-9736. I’m the president, so I’m supposed to know what’s happening. (just joking). I serve with many terrific people who give of their time, talent, and kindness.
