The Beltsville Young at Heart

by Lois Hamilton

Our September meeting brought us 5 new members to join the club. We were afraid that after not meeting in July and August, we would be too few to meet. But along with our new members, we’ve lost two of our older members. Richard Moore was our secretary for the last 11 years, and Lois Knabel was a sweet and lovely lady who was a joy to know. We will miss both of them greatly.

We are looking forward to our November 17 Thanksgiving Gala in Laurel at the United Methodist Church on Main Street. With a delicious menu (no turkey), entertainment by “Having Fun”, drawings for 50/50 and 7 raffle items, among all the fellowship we have together, it should be a blessed gathering. Anyone who would like information about the luncheon, or our club should call me at 301-498-9736, so I can provide you with what you would like to know. Remember, Good friends leave footprints on our hearts.
