           In December 2023 Emmanuel United Methodist Church’s Food distribution closed its doors for a brief time so that they could revamp the program as they were passing the torch to some new leadership. They are back up and running but the format has changed a bit. Before Covid, the food distribution required those who needed food to come into the building, but that format changed during the pandemic. It became a drive-up service. Now, the original format is back which allows volunteers to be more comfortable and not have to brave the elements by standing outside the whole time. The Food Distribution happens on the fourth Saturday of each month from 8 am to 11 am at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 11416 Cedar Lane, Beltsville, MD 20705.
