Marie Bena, 79, died in her home in Calverton, MD, on Friday, July 24. She was a daughter, mother, wife, grandmother, and committed volunteer, giving her time to her community and causes important to her. As a young girl, she first volunteered as a candy-striper in a local hospital. Her last volunteer service was fundraising for Laurel Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Frank; her daughter, Anna Marie; her son, Robert; her daughter-in-law, Nikki; her two grandchildren, Katie and Dylan; and her mother, Angelina Ferrante. www.borgwardtfuneralhome.com
