Obituary: Monro, Brain Joseph

Brian Joseph Munro Brian Joseph Munro (Age 49) The amazing father, loving husband, devoted son, compassionate son-in-law, thoughtful brother-in-law, and super fun uncle, died peacefully in his sleep on October 2, 2021. Brian is survived by wife Nikki (Frush), his soulmate of 21 years and

best friend for twice that time, their two adoring children Abigail (17) and Christopher (14), whom he loved with all his heart and considered to be his greatest gifts, and his loving parents Duncan and Gail (nee Gasch) Munro, of Beltsville MD. He was the best brother-in-law to Lauren (nee Frush) and Shajahan Jagtiani, of Clarksville, MD, and loved his niece Isabella (15) and nephew Zachary (12). He leaves cousins, NBRs, and many friends and colleagues who loved him dearly. Born in Beltsville, MD on September 19, 1972, Brian graduated from High Point High School in 1990, and from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Catonsville, MD in 1996. He married Nikki in 2000 and lived in Clarksville, MD. Brian was a top salesman for BSN Sports, formerly Marlow Sports of Forestville, MD. While his performance was notable, more importantly, he was known for his illuminating personality that radiated light to all who encountered him. He will be remembered as a well-respected and charismatic individual that was beloved by all. Brian was generous, kind, empathetic, and fun. He loved live music, going to his son's soccer games, and watching his beautiful daughter dance. He loved sports, cooking out, sitting outside by the fire, going to the beach, the bay, and the lake, and taking big family vacations--his "party of 11-plus"-- to Disney World and Turks and Caicos. He loved his pets, especially the family's new puppy Finn. An excellent cook, Brian loved to entertain and was quick to make people comfortable with his sense of humor. He'll be remembered for his big smile and bigger laugh. He shared his home and his gifts freely with others. He never sought to be in the spotlight but was always willing to help make others' lives better. More than anything else, he loved his family fiercely. He gave them everything and his passing leaves a hole in their hearts and lives. We will love him forever and miss him immensely. Brian's life was nothing short of magical. He was rich in the things that count, and we are all better off for knowing him and loving him. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 18, 2021, 1 p.m., at Ten Oaks Ballroom, 5000 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville, MD 21029. Please wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Brian's memory to his children's College Fund (payable to CollegeAmerica, c/o Darby Simmons, The Simmons Partnership, LLC, 222 Courthouse Ct., Suite 1A, Towson, MD 21204) or to Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, 17301 Old Vic Blvd, Olney, MD 20832.
