Taylor, Frances

Mrs. Frances Taylor of Beltsville, MD, passed away at her home on May 5, 2020, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband, Olen Taylor, and great-grandson, Ryan DeCamp Jr. She is survived by her sister: Grace Mottley; sons: Jeffrey and John (wife Lisa); grandchildren: Nicholas, Nichole, Kelly, Katlyn, and Kristian. In addition, she is survived by many others including 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many others who considered her family.

Frances was a loving, giving, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and a caring friend of all. She was married to Olen Taylor on December 25, 1947, in Buckingham, VA. They moved to Maryland and raised their two sons, John and Jeffrey, in Beltsville, MD.

Frances was a devoted Christian and longtime member of First Baptist Church of Beltsville. She had a passion for serving the Lord in many capacities, including serving as treasurer, being a member on several church planning teams, supporting local and global church missions, and participating regularly in church activities.

Frances worked for the Prince George’s County School system until she retired. In addition to work and church activities, she was a longtime member of the Eastern Star.

Frances will be laid to rest with her husband, Olen Taylor, at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, in Brentwood, MD.
