Emergency rent assistance is available to renters and landlords in Prince George's County. Please apply today. The County is working closely with nonprofit organizations to provide help with the applications and legal assistance.

Health insurance deadline: December 15

Delegates Joseline Peña-Melnyk, Ben Barnes, Mary Lehman and I want to be sure all working families are able to sign up for affordable health insurance. Now -- through December 15 -- is the time to learn about coverage -- and other ways to save money on health insurance.

Open enrollment runs from November 1 to December 15. Be sure to enroll or change plans by visiting www.marylandhealthconnection.gov or call toll-free 1-855-642-8572.


Energy assistance

The Maryland Office of People's Counsel has created an energy assistance toolkit to help Maryland households facing utility turn-off notices keep their power on. This toolkit includes videos, application forms, resource guides and more. Visit opc.maryland.gov and click on "Energy Assistance Tool Kit"
