Delegates Joseline Peña-Melnyk, Ben Barnes, Mary Lehman, and I each received a score of 100% from the LCV for our support of environmental bills during the 2024 legislative session. Below is a list of some of the bills directly impacting the community.

·         HB0864 - Energy Efficiency and Conservation Plans - Updates energy efficiency programs and

offers incentives that lower the cost of cleaner, more efficient electric appliances, ultimately reducing energy bills.

·         HB 0990 - Removing Manufacturers Exemption from GGRA – As we work to create cleaner air for us all, manufacturers are now required to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions at a comparable rate to other industries.

·         HB0585 / SB0480 - Protecting Election Officials Act - by creating steeper penalties for threatening election officials or their families this legislation will protect election workers at all levels and help ensure fair and secure elections.
