Bill Alfaro has done it again. With years of experience and a very green thumb he has grown everything from coffee beans, corn, banana plants, and his favorite: pineapples! That’s right, a little taste of Hawaii here in Beltsville! He has cultivated four plants and was even in the Beltsville News years ago when he grew the first one in Beltsville. It takes years of patience. Ultimately, they are ornamental and only about one inch. They are certainly cute and even if they ripened would only be a tasty morsel.
