The Bible teaches that feeding your neighbors is a profound act of love—an expression of generosity that honors God. Scripture reminds us that when we provide food and care to those in need, we are serving God Himself, who promises to bless those who show compassion to the poor. Isaiah 58 calls us to “share your food with the hungry,” and this November, Emmanuel faithfully lived out that call.

On November 2 and 16, Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Beltsville offered free lunches to anyone in our community who wished to receive one. Neighbors from Beltsville and the surrounding areas joined us for a warm meal and warm fellowship. On November 22 they were also able to provide food for Thanksgiving through their monthly food distribution.

For more than a decade, Emmanuel has been committed to feeding its neighbors, and it is a joy to see that tradition continue. The Beltsville Community offers a heartfelt thank-you to Pastor King and to every volunteer who helps make these ministries possible. Your service reflects the love of Christ in action.
