At two churches here in Beltsville, Scouting America scouts celebrated Scout Sunday.

On February 8, the Scouts BSA celebrated at Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

On February 15, the Scouting America Scouts participated in Scout Sunday at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church here in Beltsville.

Three scouts from Pack 740 received their Religious Medals. Congratulations to them!

Those attending from Pack 1031 were Dave Georges P. and his sister, Breanna H., and Sean H. and his family. Two scouts from Troop 1033 also attended. As you can see, Scouting is active here in the Beltsville area. For information on joining Scouts, please visit BeAScout.org.

Coming up for Pack 1031 is the Blue and Gold Dinner at the end of February and the Pinewood Derby in late March. On Saturday, April 25, we will lead the Anacostia Watershed Earth Day cleanup at the park. Come help us out. Sign-ups will be in March.

Check out our new website: https://pack1031.org/. There you can find information on how to join our pack. If you are interested in Cub Scouts at Pack 1031, contact Regina Halper at Pack1031cubscouting@gmail.com for information. We are a family scouting unit. During the school year, we meet at Beltsville Academy for our den meetings, and in the summer, we meet at least twice a month, mostly in the parks.
