New Preschool opens in North College Park!

We’re happy to say the new nonprofit Monarch Preschool/College Park is open for families who live or work in the area. We recruited Monarch to come to our community and got them a $250,000 state grant to help hold down tuition.

Monarch Preschool College Park is a high-quality, project-based learning pre-kindergarten for children ages 3-5. A place where care is not passive—spaces, curriculum, and teachers are all active, engaged, and helping children apply their learning to real-world issues. The Maryland Office of People's Counsel has created an energy assistance toolkit to help Maryland households facing utility turn-off notices keep their power on. Amid economic recovery, Maryland Retains Triple AAA Bond Rating Last month, all three credit-rating agencies reaffirmed Maryland's AAA bond rating. "We are pleased that as the vaccine rollout allows Maryland to begin recovering from the impact of COVID-19, the rating agencies recognize that the State’s proactive response to the pandemic," said State Treasurer Nancy Kopp. " Maryland’s dynamic economy, highly educated workforce, and above-average wealth and income levels have put us in a strong position as we move forward."
