The "Bull Pen" September 2019

The Beltsville Bulls 10U, 12U, and 15U baseball teams

2019 has been a historic year for 50th anniversaries, including: Apollo 11 landing on the moon, Woodstock, The Beatles’ Abbey Road, and if you didn’t know—Monday Night Football. In fact, this year marks the NFL’s 100th season. Tom Landry, head coach of the Dallas Cowboys for 29 seasons and two Super Bowl wins, stated: “Football is an incredible game. Sometimes it’s so incredible, it’s unbelievable.” Perhaps that is why its popularity continues to soar and why so many of our youth play football. The Bulls have had their share of incredible games and will be starting the 2019 fall tackle season as the reigning 12U spring flag football champions and the defending 14U fall tackle football champions. It is not too late to join; register at beltsvilleadelphi.sportssignup.com. If you have questions, please contact Football Commissioner Rian Jackson at 301.693.6395 or football@beltsvilleadelphi.com.

Cheerleading and fall baseball are also open for registration at beltsvilleadelphi.sportssignup.com. The Bulls cheer for the football and basketball teams at home games and events. There is a senior squad (ages 10-16) and junior squad (ages 4-9). For more information, contact Cheerleading Commissioner Dana Coleman at 240-354-8707. The Bulls baseball and t-ball teams, ages 5-15, will be participating in a recreational league this fall. A t-ball clinic for ages 3 to 5 is also being offered. Recreational baseball emphasis is on participation, good sportsmanship, and personal development. No prior baseball experience is needed. For more information, contact Baseball Commissioner Sheila Montano at 240-441-3011.

John F. Kennedy said, “We are inclined to think that if we watch a football game or a baseball game, we have taken part in it.” Why not do more than watch the game and come out and join the stampede and really be a part of it! We are always looking for players, coaches, volunteers, etc. for all sports. We are also still looking for people interested in bringing soccer back to the club. If interested, please contact Club Athletic Director Rian Jackson.

As always, please contact Club Athletic Director Rian Jackson at jackson_rian@hotmail.com or 301.693.6395 with any questions, suggestions, or coaching inquiries. GO BULLS!!! AND JOIN THE STAMPEDE!!!
