On The Agenda: December 2019

The Beltsville Citizens Association will not meet in December. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our Beltsville residents and businesses! I would especially like to thank all of our volunteers in the Beltsville community.

Bureau of Printing and Engraving Possible Move to BARC (Beltsville Agricultural Research Center)

They are going through the NEPA process and will host an official public scoping meeting on December 3 inside the BARC Building 003 (10300 Baltimore Avenue, Beltsville) auditorium between 6–8 pm. They are looking at 100 acres off of Powder Mill Road.

Safety Reminders

The holidays are just around the corner. Consider having packages shipped to your office or to a neighbor who is home during the day. Amazon also offers several secure locations close to Beltsville too.

Rear tags are being stolen, so be sure to check tags. If they are stolen, immediately file a police report.

Remember "If you "See Something...Report Something." Call 911 for suspicious criminal activity. You can call 311 for information about general permits for home additions, driveways, fences, and construction. Permits are required and should be posted on the home. If you think a home is a rental property, you can also call 311. Landlords are required to have a rental license and have the home inspected before they can rent.

Deer hunting is not allowed on MNCPPC park land or the homes near our parks. If you have any questions or concerns, I can be reached at 301.937.3490 or karenmcoakley@msn.com.
